About
Dr. Yanina Blanchard
I've been practicing psychology for more than 20 years. I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology and my Masters degree in Research Psychology in my home country, Peru. After practicing as a licensed psychologist in Lima for 5 years, I moved to the United States to pursue my second Masters degree and my Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at William James College in Newton, MA.
Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse clinical settings including community mental health centers and college counseling centers. I completed my pre-doctoral internships at Harvard Medical School-affiliated training sites and my postdoctoral fellowship at the Cambridge Eating Disorder Center in Cambridge, MA. Currently, I’m a staff psychologist at Boston Behavioral Medicine where, in addition to providing individual and group therapy, I supervise psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows and social work fellows. I also teach seminars on Eating Disorders and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I love what I do, and I'm honored to be able to be part of my clients' healing journeys.
When I’m not working, I enjoy dancing and going to my Zumba classes, reading, taking long walks, spending time with my husband and my two kids, and participating in community events.
